Dazifon is the result of the merger between Banana and NickyD. Banana was started as David Company in 2017. David Company was founded by David LiCalzi. In 2018, David Company rebranded as Banana.

David & Nickolaus Book Enterprises was founded by David LiCalzi and Nickolaus Glisson on May 29th, 2018. David & Nickolaus Book Enterprises released their first book titled The Misadventures of Albert not too long after being founded.

David & Nickolaus Book Enterprises rebranded as Albert Stories, Inc. and released Albert: Interactive. In late 2020, they changed their name again to NickyD. David LiCalzi decided to merge the two companies (Banana and NickyD) in late 2020. Their new name was NickyD.

In 2021, NickyD became Smooth Brain. Smooth Brain became A Creative Name (ACN) in late 2021. Grandma Games was founded as a subsidiary of ACN in March 2022. In September 2022, ACN rebranded as Dazifon. Finally, on March 20th, 2023, Grandma Games was absorbed by Dazifon.
